Joy

And the angel said to them, "Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people.”
Luke 2:10

When I hear this Scripture, I immediately want to sing …

“Joy to the world, the Lord has come, let earth receive her King.”

Our family has been singing this song every day! The kids are belting it out; even the baby bops her little head as we sing. On Friday at the Christmas dinner we had our family sang 2 verses from the song as well. Then, no joke, at church yesterday morning, it was one of our worship songs. He ordains so perfectly!

It holds a seriously special place in my heart.

Great joy … our Lord and Savior; the One who came down from His throne to save this broken and fallen world. I take great joy in this fact. It is a fact that He came down. It is not a myth, it is not a legend, it is a fact.

He came down, brought peace and love to the world; a world that in turn, sent Him to the cross.

Joy is only found in the believer that has Christ as his reason for living. We can try and fill that void with this world, with money, homes, material possessions. But true joy is only found when it is a fruit bore because of the indwelling Spirit-who enters only after we have been sanctified with the truth of Christ.

Joy is knowing that this world is only a temporal existence, one that will pass away, leading us into the marvelous and splendid days of Heaven. Oh how joyous that will be!

I pray you all hold this joy in your heart today. I pray you all feel His presence, that His love is radiating through your life. I pray that if you do not know Him, truly, intimately know Him, that you will speak with someone about what you are missing. {I am here for anyone that is struggling}

Make Him your reason for this season. Teach your children about the miraculous conception, about the joy that can be found nowhere except in the love of Jesus Christ, the Messiah.

May the God of peace and love be with you today, and every day!

Thank you for your sweet words and for visiting my blog. I am lifting up my thoughts to him daily and waiting for his plan in my life. I know that he will take care of me and will not test me beyond what I able. I cling to those thoughts.
