Teaching little hearts about Christ

This month holds so much excitement for our homeschool life. I am so overjoyed to be a Mom of a Kindergartener. Jaxson has a heart for learning, and a heart longing for God—it’s beautiful and encouraging! Each day as we sit down in our chairs in our school room, Jaxson sits there eagerly anticipating the fun we’re about to have! He has never complained that he didn’t enjoy school and he has never asked if he could learn somewhere else. I know many families struggle with that, and I praise God that the heart that is in this little guy is devoted to home life and God.

Each night I sit down and scope ideas for the upcoming weeks, and I am so excited to start Christmas projects.

This month holds so many possibilities, so many new lessons to come up with. My brain is on overload with the amount of stuff I want to do with him. This week unfortunately did not turn out as I had planned. Today and tomorrow have been focused on cleaning for our first annual WWU banquet—which I am so excited for! With these 2 days out, my brain eagerly awaits what the next week will hold for us.

Here are some ideas that we are going to try; I pray that they encourage you try some at home with your little ones as well. Remember, the thirst for Christ starts with us as parents. They will long to know Him more when they see us devoted to Him!

Here are some of our upcoming project ideas:

**We sponsor a little girl named, Maiza, from Brazil and this month we will be making her a craft every week and mailing them to her with a baby doll. We will use his feet to make a Christmas tree (evergreen tree)—signifying that the Almighty God remains the same throughout every season of our life.
“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, and today, and forever.”
Hebrews 13:8

**We will be making a wreath of hands for Maiza &  my MIL signifying diligent hands.
“Lazy hands make a man poor, but diligent hands bring wealth.”
Proverbs 10:4
**We will be making heirloom ornaments for Maiza, our tree, my MIL and my mother so that each year our loved ones can look on it and see that …
“He is the way, the truth and the life.”
John 14:6
**We will learn the Christmas story.
“For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.”
Luke 2:11
**We will learn to make chocolate cookies as we listen to hymns and Christmas songs.
“Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.”
Psalm 150:6

These are just a few ideas—I will post after each one is accomplished with updated pix and posts! I pray that the Lord Almighty is ever present in your life! You are loved by an Almighty God who longs to have a relationship with you! It’s never too late to start while there is still breath within you!
